Las Ramblas in Barcelona is famous world wide. Las Ramblas is very important because it is a main tourist attraction. Las Ramblas is known for being a shopping area/street in Barcelona, therefore it has many people. The street is filled with shops and tourist sites such as the Christopher Columbus statue and links la plaza de Catalunya with Port Vell - Barcelona's harbour and beachfront. There are also many good restaurants such as the Hard Rock cafe, which I definitely suggest to visit whilst you are there, as well as some more traditional rustic tapas bars. However the one known problem with this big tourist area is it has many pick pockets, so make sure your valuables are secure.
